Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of AskBase services operated by AskBase Inc. (“AskBase,” “we,” or “us”). By using our services, you agree to these Terms.

1. Accounts

You must create an account to use most features of AskBase. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials. You may not share your account or allow others to access it. Notify us immediately at security@askbase.ai if you suspect unauthorized access.

2. Use of the Service

You may use AskBase only for lawful purposes. You agree not to:

• Upload content that infringes intellectual property rights
• Use the service to process illegal content or for illegal activities
• Attempt to reverse-engineer or extract our underlying models
• Resell or sublicense the service without written permission
• Use the service in a way that harms other users or our infrastructure

3. Your Content

You retain all ownership rights to the documents and data you upload. By uploading content, you grant AskBase a limited license to process and store it for the purpose of providing the service. You represent that you have the right to upload all content you provide. We will not use your content to train our AI models without your explicit consent.

4. Payment

Paid plans are billed in advance on a monthly or annual basis. All fees are non-refundable except as required by law or as explicitly stated in our refund policy. We may change pricing with 30 days notice. Continued use after a price change constitutes acceptance of the new price.

5. Service Level Agreement

We target 99.9% uptime for paid plans. Scheduled maintenance, events outside our control (force majeure), and free tier services are excluded from this SLA. Customers on Enterprise plans may be entitled to service credits for downtime below this threshold — see your Order Form for details.

6. Termination

Either party may terminate at any time. You can cancel your account in the dashboard settings. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms. Upon termination, your access ends and your data is deleted within 30 days per our data retention policy.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, AskBase's total liability to you for any claims arising from these Terms or your use of the service will not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim. AskBase is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.

8. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms with 30 days notice. We will notify you by email or by displaying a notice in the product. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
