We collect information you provide directly to us, including when you create an account, upload documents, or contact us for support. This includes your name, email address, company name, billing information, and the content of your uploaded knowledge base documents.
We also automatically collect certain technical information when you use our services, including log data, device information, and usage patterns.
We use your information to:
Documents, files, and data you upload to AskBase are used solely to power the AI assistant you configure. We do not use your uploaded data to train our underlying AI models. Your data is encrypted at rest and in transit.
You retain full ownership of all data you upload. You can delete your data at any time through the dashboard, and upon account deletion we purge your data within 30 days.
We do not sell your personal data or your uploaded documents to third parties. We may share anonymized, aggregated data that cannot identify you individually for research and analytics purposes.
We share data with service providers who help us operate our platform (cloud hosting, payment processing), but they are contractually bound to use data only for the services they provide to us.
Depending on your location, you may have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data. EU and UK residents have rights under GDPR including the right to data portability and the right to object to processing. California residents have rights under CCPA including the right to know what data we collect and the right to request deletion.

AskBase uses AI technology to generate responses and assist with your business workflows. We do not use AI systems to make automated decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects on individuals without human oversight.
Your data is not used for automated profiling that affects your access to services, employment, credit, housing, education, or other consequential decisions. All AI-generated outputs are provided as tools to assist human decision-makers, not to replace human judgment on consequential matters. Colorado residents have additional rights under Colorado SB 24-205 (effective July 1, 2026) regarding AI systems used in consequential decisions.
We retain your account data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide services. Conversation logs are retained for 90 days by default and can be configured to be deleted sooner. Upon account deletion, all personal data is purged within 30 days.
